I've been installing all of the Windows 10 updates on my Dell Mini-Tower and have never had any issues. I have updates configured to download and and notify me so I can choose when to install and reboot. I never allow updates to install while I have programs running.

Microsoft has a "Show/Hide" tool that can sometimes be used to block problem updates.  Just right-click and select "Save link as".

I have the latest version of Windows 10 in my tower.  My logging software is Winlog 32, and WIN-EQF version 3.01.  No issues at all with either.  Both programs hook up to the FT950 with no issues whatsoever.  Both programs allow me to connect with QRZ, and the DX cluster.  My laptop, that I use for FT8 also has Windows 10 in it.  WSJT-X not an issue for me.
Good luck on getting to problem resolved.

I too have the latest updates to Windows 10 (22H2) on a Dell Optiplex desktop, no problems at all. It runs Log4OM, N1MM+, serial Winkeyer, VarAC, etc.

Elecraft K4D and Icom IC-9700, both connected via USB.

Hi all and thanks for replies, yes I uninstall 2 of the latest upgrades and got all working again, those upgrades regularly stop my SignaLink sound card from switching on so I have stopped all upgrades for a month.

Thanks again de Richard

I saw a "hiccup" with the last download.  Two days later there was a "correction" update.  Things appear to be working normal now.

I found that the "multi-stage" updates that require rebooting once or twice to get everything loaded will cause the computer to not work properly.
Whenever I get a notice that there was an update, I check the power button to see if there is an option to reboot to complete the update. If so, I reboot, because otherwise some of the original files are now "hybrids" which causes issues with functionality.

Don't fight it, just go with the flow!
