Rtty and Kenwood 990

All of a sudden my keyboard has quit working. No rtty and no psk31. I replaced keybord,and nothing I went into menu and usb on front are turned on. I can read rtty and psk but radio won’t xmit. Any ideas would be apprecayed

Have you tried both USB ports with your keyboard? if so then try reloading your settings if you have them backed up on a USB, it is a long shot that this will work. Next do a full reset to factory defaults. I don't recall off hand the procedure but it is in the big manual. I have had to reset my 990 a couple of times when strange problems have occurred that I could not correct by redoing settings. You may also want to check the 990 user group at:

I did a complete reset on my 990. The usb keyboard started working. case solved. Wrong. Itstopped workingh again. No keyboard on rtty, psk31 or cw. Cant figure this one out.
