Stand by switch for sb-200 amp

has any one  ever installed a standby switch for a sb 200   or can it be done  and how ..

It can be done either internally...or externally.  All you are doing is opening off the key line.

I put in another rocker switch just like the power switch.

As VE7RF said, you can do it with an external switch, add one to the front panel, or replace the power/sensitivity pot.

I installed an exact same rocker switch (but, RED)
in the front panel.  (See CBX's photo) If I had it to over I might have opted for an external switch just to preserve the original panel.

The "Standby" switch simply opens the key line.

I simply added an external switch along with a pilot lamp, enclosed it in a small aluminum box and mounted that under the shelf my sb-200 sits on. It just opens / closes the key line. No need to modify the front panel of the sb-200.
