Fault with QJE PS60SWIII Power Supply
« on: January 31, 2023, 02:02:16 AM »

Hi all - I have a QJE PS60SWIII power supply which has been working fine for quite some time.  It gives ne no noise on HF, but it has developed a small fault.  The supply works fine but the AMPS OUT no longer shows on the analogue meter - VOLTS OUT shows fine.   If I flick the V/A switch a few times then the AMPS OUT will show on the meter but the reading is well down to what is being drawn from the supply and after a minute it goes back to showing no amps on the meter.  I haven't opened it up as yet as I was trying to fine a schematic first.  Any ideas or suggestions ?  Thanks Rob VK4ALL

That's a pretty tiny switch so I don't think it's actually carrying much current, I'm thinking the first thing to try is to squirt some Deoxit into the back of the switch and work it back and forth a few times. That's the first thing I'd try anyway.
P.S. it looks like you could probably get away with squirting some in from the front and wipe off excess.?
