Disassembly of Drake MN2000
« on: January 31, 2023, 04:05:30 PM »

I just reacquired one after 20 years. Needs some TLC. Mistake selling the old one. I can’t remove the outer case. I’ve removed all the bottom screws but can’t remove the studs that hold the feet. The feet are off but the studs float from inside the unit. Thanks

If you can't find the answer here, contact Ron Baker WB4HFN. I don't think there's anything about Drake that he isn't familiar with! He does EXCELLENT work.

I disassembled a couple a few decades ago and memory is not perfect..however I do remember that it has an inner shielded case that slides in and out, separately from the outer case (and quite possibly separate from the feet and their fixings to the outer case). Maybe check the front panel for screws that need to be removed.
