Keeping accessories together, esp. for HTs
« on: February 01, 2023, 08:36:15 AM »

Have any of you had challenges in keeping your accessories together, especially for radios that are small and potable, like HTs  - stuff like power cables, adapters, antennas, chargers, battery packs, etc. or radios you only use occasionally?

What are your solutions and methods for not losing or separating related components and Nifty guides?

Yes a brand new invention is out. It is called a box or bag. I use a tackle box.

I stopped by Dollar General and picked up several small clear totes with snap lock lids. Labeled with what radio parts were in them and they stack nice and neat on my rack in the shack.

Buy a bottle of Royal Crown whiskey, the one that comes in a really nice purple bag. Well, you know what to do next after you drink the booze, of course.

How often do you get wasted? Perhaps you should quit. It is called Crown Royal

If you want over the top, buy something like a foam filled pelican case. Cut holes in the foam to hold your stuff. You can throw it in the back of a truck bed and let it bang around on a country road if you want. Personally, I use a fishing tackle box. Lots of compartments for bits and pieces and open box area for the chunky stuff.

I think his comment was pretty helpful; it's actually very seldom that I laugh upon reading something here on eham, and laughter is good medicine for all kinds of things.

Nice to see that I'm not the only one who uses a purple Crown Royal bag!  And here I was thinking I had invented the wheel!   ;D
