Adalm Pluto for 70 and 23cm bands. Which PA?
« on: February 15, 2023, 02:42:01 PM »

Has anyone tried Adalm Pluto for the 70 and 23cm bands? A number of hams have been using for the uplink to QO-100 and for that there are reasonably priced small PA. As far as I understand the TX output would be around 7dbm, not much for tropo on 70 and 23cm bands. Which PA could be available for these bands?

If you google a bit you wil find the combo of small cheep amplifier modules used to boost the output from a SDR to something a final amplifier can work with.
You will also have to look into some kind of solide state rf switching.

For 70cm there are amplifiers intended for DMR hotspots that can be used, but you will have to be sure that the PA got RF switching.

Here is a setup for 2,4Ghz that might give you some ideas.
