If you are a 6m DX or grid hunter check out 6m FT8.

VERY good opening today.

Nothing doin' on the east coast unfortunately, but the midwest is golden right now!

FB opening here on the left coast. Central and SA, carrib, and even got a few decodes on VP8NO. Might open to OC in the coming hours.

Aww, you guys get all the 6M love out there in the midwest and west coast. I heard a handful of Washington State stations during the peak of the opening but none answered me since they were hearing/working real DX.

FN20 is where 6M RF goes to die. :-\

First time I have heard the East Coast referred to as the Black Hole for DX!

On 6m everything from between about Delaware and MA, and inland about 100 miles doesn't favour us. I'll typically see eastern Mass through to Maine working Europe all day in the summer, and EPA guys too, but we get very little here. When it does open it can be fantastic (EU, JA, and last year HL, BY, and VK in the log) but our openings are more fickle and generally not as strong. Out in OK you have one big thing going for you: far easier to work the rare western-US grids for the FFMA. I still have an asston of DM/DN counters missing. Hoping 2023 is better than the 2022 season, though.

Several lucky US stations worked 3B9FR on 6m yesterday. And we had a decent opening from G across the equator to South Africa. TZ4AM was about too, very strong here 599 on CW.

Seasonal effects are coming into play along with a high sunspot count. I doubt we'll see much east-west but the southerly path should be good for the next 3 months leading into the Es season, May should be especially good as we get PY/LU in on TEP when we're near to solar max.
