Elecraft repairs in the UK
« on: March 10, 2023, 08:10:23 AM »

AF gain and OFS knobs both failing on KX2. Need replacement.

Does anybody know if there are any routes to repair in UK avoid posting the radio to Elecraft ?

I did. They referred me to the one store in the UK that does repairs, but which currently does not have a single technician.

Assuming you don't want to do the work yourself, finding someone locally would be far faster and probably cost about as much as mailing the radio back , minus the shipping risk and time without it.

Yes I'd much rather not ship it. But here in the UK I've contacted the only two dealers I am aware of within 100 miles (probably the only two remaining HAM radio places in the UK ?) and they cannot help. Beyond that I have no idea who I would go to.

Anybody in the UK got any suggestions ?
