Stainless 2m/70cm LEO antenna
« on: March 11, 2023, 09:47:43 AM »

Hi, does anyone remember the name of the fellow that made antennas for satellite work? I think this was from at least 10 years back.
Thanks 73

Was it Gulf Alpha Antennas? I had a single band 144 MHz yagi of his and it was built like a tank. Great antenna. His name was Pete.

Gulf Alpha antennas was shut down by the owner in September, 2005.  He revived the business a couple of years later.  However, there were still problems with materials, filling orders, shipping, and customer service.  I had orders in for his 2m and 70cm CP satellite antennas; never received them.  If finally cancelled the orders and went with the HyGain satellite package.

I believe the company was finally shut down a second time in 2011.  A search on the various search engines does not produce a website for "Alpha Antennas".

In 2015 Pete sold Gulf Alpha to Arrow Antennas... BUT, it got put on the back burner and has yet to emerge.

My google-fu found this:  https://www.arrowantennas.com/ga.html
