APRS DOS on palmtop
« on: November 28, 2001, 09:08:38 PM »

I'm running APRS DOS 7.4F on an HP100LX handheld computer.  The system has been up for several days on the local 2M frequency, but I've only seen one other callsign (a mobile) displayed besides mine, even though packets sent by others are received and displayed along the bottom of the screen.  My HEARD list is full, so I know there's lots of APRS activity in the area.  Try as I might, I can't find any command in the program to show/hide other stations (toggling the "callsign" command doesn't do it).  Even when I zoom out to see the whole state, other APRS stations I KNOW are there aren't displayed.  I wonder if for some reason the program isn't decoding the positions.

Any ideas?  TNX!

Have you tried updating the software?  I think DOS is up to 8.5 or so.  Try that and see if it helps.  If not e-mail me see if we can work it out.
