Help to display icons on winaprs
« on: December 13, 2001, 02:13:34 PM »

Hi. I have a ht, baycom, and laptop that work good for packet. I turn on winaprs, and tune in to aprs, and see lots of activity going on. Problem is, I can not get anything to display on the map. How do I get the incomming position reports to appear on the map?

Also, when I go to download a newer version of winaprs or aprsdos, how am I to know which file is what. Most servers just have a whole bunch of files with no description or index.

Thanks, Eric / ke6mlf

Under the display menu, make sure "Station Icons" and "Station Callsigns" are checked, as well as "All Stations"

It could be other things too, but this solved my (identical) problem.

Thanks Eric. I can now see "all" the stations, not just a few.
