I am currently considering buying a Garmin GPS unit or cheap GPS receiver to add to my array of mobile equipment in my truck. What equipment and information do I need to get inorder to connect my ICOM 207h and GPS to a TNC and transmit telemetry?
Is my ICOM 207h APRS capable with the addition of necessary equipment? If I am only interested in the GPS receiver strictly for the APRS is there a cheaper GPS receiver solution that will work? What TNC would you recommend for a mobile setup?
