Viking Adventurer Adventurer
« on: February 03, 2002, 09:40:31 PM »

I've just purchased a Viking Adventurer.  Don't know if it is an "older" or "newer" version, but it is different than most pictures I've seen:

1.  There is a toggle switch just to the left of the "on/off" switch.  It is clearly original, but there is no label.  I assume it is either a "tune/operate" or "standby" switch.  Anyone know?

2.  The back panel has both a phono plug AND a coax connector.  Since the coax connector has coax cable internally running to it, I assume it is the RF output connection; but the rig came with a antenna coax switch attached to the phono plug.  The phono plug has only a thin wire running to it.

Can anyone help me out?

Thanks,

Paul
