Picked up a CapaciTester Model CT355, made by TeleTest Instrument Corp., New York, at flea market recently. Capacitor and continuity tester.
Google only turns up two other hams who found themselves in the same boat over the years: looking for info. Absolutely no info on the company.
I'm guessing from the look of the beast it is from the early 1960s, perhaps late 1950s. And from the lack of on-line info, the company probably never made the big time and sank quietly.
Since the same name (CapaciTester) was used by other companies for capacitor testers, particularly HeathKit, I thought maybe it was similar to one of theirs. I looked through all the Heath manuals on-line, and although the IT-11 seems vaguely closest, it does not match in looks, layout, parts, capacitance ranges, switches, etc.
I opened it and the CT355 has one RCA 6AV6, and one RCA Radiotron 5-48 for 'magic-eye' type of indicator.
Any leads or advice on finding a manual?
Thanks & 73,
