Class F Unofficial Field Day
« on: February 19, 2008, 06:11:30 PM »

Berkeley County South Carolina, ARES/RACES will be operating Field Day 2008 as a Class 2F
from our newly renovated EOC.  We plan to begin operating at 1600Z and are working to get
representatives from local Government and served agencies to visit the EOC in those two hours
prior to initiation of regular Field Day operation.

I would like to invite you to encourage your area clubs, participating in Field Day 2008 as
Class F station, to do the same.  This would give us the chance to show off our capabilities and,
during that time interval, be able to allow our guests to talk with their counterparts at other sites.

This will be an unofficial effort and will NOT count towards Field Day scores.  This is a golden
opportunity to expose our customers to Amateur Radio: EOC Personnel, Governmental Agencies,
Law Enforcement Agencies, Emergency Medical Service Agencies, Fire/Search and Rescue
Departments, etc.

I will be maintaining a list of participating stations at this URL:

If you wish to participate, please send the following information to my E-Mail address,
