When you attach a pin to a connector, how do you keep the adhesive from slipping out?  I am homebrewing an HT antenna with an SMA connector.  The bottom of this antenna is made out of stripped RG-58 coax.  The outer jacket and shield are removed so that only the wire and
inner dielectric remain.  At one end, I removed a bit more dielectric so that I had a short length of wire sticking out.  I soldered the bit of wire sticking out to the pin of the connector.

I put 5-minute epoxy inside the connector in order to hold everything in place.  Unfortunately, the epoxy didn't hold the coax+wire in place very well, and I can slip the wire and pin out of the connector.  (At least the epoxy stuck to the inner metal walls of the connector.)

Is there something else I need to do to ensure that the assembly holds in place?  How do you attach a connector to a piece of coax cable and keep the wire from slipping out?  (You can tell I never did this before.)
