Where's my old friend gone?
« on: September 24, 2005, 08:10:50 PM »

I can't find him anywhere. His name is Ed and his call sign is KC5QEM.  He was living in Azle, TX. when I relocated to the Texas Hill Country.  His son's name is James KC5PXX. He had a very hazardous job which kept him on the road all the time in the D/FW area. I've emailed him with no response and his phone seems to be unlisted.
If anyone knows of his location please email me at w5ljm@yahoo.com and let me know if he's OK.
Thanx, Larry W5LJM

I'd try to e-mail him again. He just renewed his license in May, and still lives in Azle. His e-mail is his call @aol.com

He's had that email listed under QRZ.com since he became a ham. I still get a "undeliverable mail" notice when I attempt to send to that address, so he must have a new email address or none at all. I've also sent snailmail to him with no response.
If he'd renewed in May, I suppose he's OK and doing fine.
I figure sooner or later someone will come across him on the air in the D/FW area. Please tell him that he is missed by myself and my family.

if his address is on the fcc site, then write him a real letter, snail mail... maybe that would be a novel idea..

Thank you for your comment, but I suppose you didn't read my previous post where it said that I sent snailmail with no answer.  That's what caused me to post this to see if any one in that area new any details on his whereabouts.
Thanx again.

I found this using a Google search.  I am not sure if it's a bad joke or not. But here's the link and you can decide.  73

This is most definitely a bad joke!  Ed is way too conservative and family oriented to do this.  And his hair is mostly grey and a touch of dark brown. I know this man isn't about to dye his hair. And he's not gay. Bad, bad joke.
