From 1966 to 1969 I was a Radioman on the Submarine USS Haddock SSN 621.  My Chief Radioman was a Ham whose name was Charles M. Kovacs.  My occasionally wrong memory tells me he was a K4 or W4 but I am not positive.  I would like to locate him today.  He may not still be a Ham, I don't know.

Hi Steve, I found two for you by name search in QRZ.  One is in New Jersey call sign n2eoc and the other is in Washington (not DC) call sign na7sa.  Hope this helps.

73's Mike Dassero, N0mud, also served on two boats in my 20 years in the navy also a radioman.  I made RM1 in 1979 and then 3 years later I changed to MA1 Navys Law enforcement rating, which also helped me become a Police Officer when I retired from the Navy 1985.
