Couldn't find any info in the reviews section.  Anyone have any experience with these antennas?

This antenna is essentially a base-loaded vertical. This makes it a little more lossy than a center-loaded antenna. The Q of the coil is not as high as they say it is. And the way the coil is made also makes it more susceptible to breakage if the whip were to hit a low-hanging limb. I know one OTR driver who uses one and he says it works okay. In my personal opinion, there are better units on the market. You might look at HiQ, Sierra, and Tarheel.

Alan, I have a 10-160 NO5E that works very well. Haven't had it on long the current car long but I'm very happy with it. This maybe the only thing I've disagreed with you on. But who knows, this one breaks as you think it might I'll might try somethig else. So far no problems with tree limbs or low drive thru's. I do know I had a "bad" experience (my opinion) with a model 1500 High Serria and I'll not buy another from them. A friend of mine has a GS-4 and he's very happy with it. If I ever replace my NO5E thats the one I think I'll try.
