IC 2gxat Extended TX??
« on: September 13, 2002, 01:07:48 AM »

Does anyone know how to do a CAP/MARS mod on the 2gxat, so that it would transmit from about 143-149?  Is this mod even possible?
Thanks,

I've seen a modification on www.mods.dk

But I wouldn't be sure about it. It seems unreliable and looking at the schematic of the radio, it doesn't seem to be a good idea to remove the suggested components.

So don't take this information for granted

9 years but anyways, i have tried it and it works BUT. there is a but, the rx coverage is extended to 50-204MHz but the radio does not hear a thing below about 120MHz and above 180MHz
tx is extended to 125 to 180mhz.
