Henry Radio and Radiodan
« on: April 23, 2001, 09:21:40 PM »

I have been trying to buy an amplifier from Henry Radio through Radiodan since November 6, 2000. So far, I still have no amplifier. I was initially told that they would have it for me in about 5 weeks. Well in December, they told me they were having problems getting coil forms from a supplier and the amp would be delayed until the first or second week in Jan, 2001. They did say that they would ship the amp for free when the time came. The third week in January, I was told that the forms were finally in. More weeks passed. I took a trip at the end of Feb for about 3 weeks so I told them NOT to ship the amp until I returned. After I got back home on March 7, I inquired about the amp and was finally told that Ted Henry was out of town and they couldn't give me a word on the delivery date. They told me to wait until April 16 when Ted got back and inquire again.

On April 16, Radiodan himself told me that he would check with Ted first thing on the delivery of my amplifier. Still no word.

A couple of days ago I sent them an email stating that if they were unable to build this amp for whatever reason, to let me know so I could be free to shop for something else at Dayton. Still no response to this so far.

My buddy sent an email to Radiodan yesterday inquiring about the same amplifier. He was told they could have an amp to him in 4 to 5 weeks.

Does anyone have any idea what is going on here? Has anyone had similar problems with Henry Radio and Radiodan? A Henry is really all that I want, hence the reason for my patience, but this seems beyond reason to me. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks, Tom, KA4P

Got a call from Radiodan last night. He stated they would deliver the amp on May 9. Keeping my fingers crossed.
