Cushcraft Service & Product Satisification
« on: November 13, 2000, 03:42:13 PM »

I receintly purchased a Cushcraft MA5B Yagi from my local dealer.
Antenna assembly instructions were straight forward. I discovered that the
moisture boot on the MT2 trap was missing, all other parts were present. I received a phone
call from a Cushcraft technical rep within 30 minutes after leaving a voice mail message. Within
3 days, I had the missing part, antenna assembled and up for testing. The antenna exceeded
VSWR 2:1 Bandwith specifications on 10, 15 and 20 meters. I did encounter a High VSWR problem
with the 17 meter portion of the antenna, 12 meters was well within spec. Again within 30 minutes after requesting help via E-Mail through their Internet page, Ed Hammond (Cushcraft) called me to discuss the problem and offer a potential solution. Do to inclement weather, I havn't dropped the antenna in attempt correct the problem. Cushcraft was very prompt and professional in responding to help resolve this problem.  The antenna has performed very well on 10, 15 and 20 meters. Running 100 watts into
the antenna at 40 feet, I achieved 89 countries, 502 contacts in the CQWW contest with minimal amount of operating time. I am very impressed with this antennas performance (compared to a Mosley
TA33 Senior it replaced - due to storm damage). I am more than pleased with response from Cushcraft
and this antennas performance and am confident the the 17 meter VSWR problem will be solved.

I own a cs 2/70 M antenna purchased new at aes
almost two years ago.

The black plastic housing started to crack
at the bottom base.

The rep I spoke to requested I return the item
to his attention.

I shipped it out ups ground, I received a new
assembly no charge, ups red label !

And this antenna was two years old !

This is taking care of your customers !

Purchased a Cushcraft R8 vertical, the performance of this antenna exceeded my expectations, what more can a consumer ask for? While a vertical will always be somewhat of a compromise, I am adding 15-25 new ones every month as a casual operator.

I purchased a 5 element 6 meter from my local dealer. After sitting in the box for 3 months before I could do anything with it, I found there was a part missing. Phoned Cushcraft and the part was sent to me right away! GREAT SERVICE!!!!!!!!!!!! I have 3 Cushcraft antennas - and all have performed just fine and with my winter weather are doing just great!

During a recent spring snowstorm my R8 vertical was damaged. I contacted Lee at tech support who told me to send in the damaged trap. Less than a week later the replacement trap arrived Fed EX no charge. No arguments about acts of God or the wrath of mother nature just exceptional service, and I might add, a customer for life. By the way the R-8 is an excellent antenna for those with limited space, it really does work as advertised.
