Does anyone know of a remote software like HRD or W4MQ that runs on Linux?

This is probably not what you are looking for. But; he follong will probably help if you are tring to setup a remote station using Linux:

There is a program called cwdaemon availabe on a lot of GNU/Linux distributions. cwdaemon can be used to control a lot of shack devices (antenna, ptt, key, on/off various devices, ...).

There are programs like ser2net on Linux throgh which one can connect to serial port of a remote computer running Linux (useful for rig control using CAT, if the rig is connected to serial port of a remote computer running GNU/Linux).

Adding to the previous post:

It looks like fldigi on GNU/Linux can do remote controlling of rigs well, including audio streaming (with the help of other free software), if the rig is supported by hamlib. Please check the yahoo group 'linuxham'
