I'm about to take a second crack at remote controlling my TS-480SAT (the first ran into computer problems... too slow, but I have a faster machine with more memory that will be taking it's place shortly).

Anyone who's already done this have any tips to pass along?  I hate to have to re-invent the wheel!

I operate my TS-480 remotely using ham radio deluxe and skype. It works quite well, and yes, there are a few tricks to getting it set up and running. I'd be happy to assist you if you get stuck.
