Weather Radio To Find RFI Source??
«

I have a RFI source isolated to being somewhere external to my home and shack. It affects atleast all of the 10-80 meter HF Bands and also causes interference on my TV when tuned to Channel 11 (198MHZ-204MHZ)using an over the air antenna. When the noise disappears on my shack's receiver is is also absent on Channel 11 and vice versa. Would a portable Weather radio designed to operate from (161-216 MHz)pick up the same noise that is seen on the TV? If so, this should help me find the same noise source that is creating havoc with my station's receiving capabilities. Is this a good assumption or am I missing something?
Thanks

It might; give it a try.
FWIW, the audio portion of a standard TV signal is FM, but the video is AM. If the interference to your TV just affects the picture, a weather radio might not be too helpful, since the weather broadcasts are FM.
