Just a few words of praise for Dan and the guys at the Ham Station in Evansville, Indiana (and on the web).

Due to a set of unfortunate circumstances, I really gave them a lot of aggravation. They were very professional and courteous and sorted out the mess very efficiently.

Dan and Rick at The Hamstation are top notch folks and very easy to deal with......they always represent their used equipment as it really is and have offered the best prices for my trade-ins.  Recently I wanted something so bad that I asked Dan to ship it UPS overnight.  He suggested that UPS ground would get the rig to me in two days and saved my $50 on shipping costs.  That's why I keep going back to them.

The Hamstation folks are nice to deal with. They update their website daily and answer emails promptly. No problem exchanging a defective radio I bought from them. They have good prices and are certainly worth your consideration.

The Ham Station is a class act. Over the years I have purchased 3 new radios from them and several used ones. Great service, all the time in the world given to me at the store to "play" with the used radio's before I purchased them, Demos of shipping stock also available for in store try before you buy.

This one experience tells it all.

I found a used radio on their website that I wanted. Saturday was the only day I could get up to the store as I live about 100 miles away from them. Dan, the propriator, actually kept the store open
later than he would have so I would have the opportunity to purchase the radio on that particular Saturday.

I have ordered two used radios from them they were shipped on time and most important they were not stripped of options! A lot of used dealers will take out options (tone boards, etc.) and sell them seperate. I check their site whenever I feel like buying something to see what they have.

Glad to hear they have changed from "black hats" to "white hats". They burned me three times bad about ten years ago. Have not/will not spend with them ever again.

I have had two good experiences with Dan at the Ham
Station. Last year I bought a used TS-530S with cw
filter and it looks and works great. Last week I bought a used Astron RS-35M and it was in the original
box and I can't tell it from new. They give a 10 day
money back and 30 day part and labor guarantee on their used gear. How can you go wrong? Dan has always given good communication and follow ups. I always check out their web site when I'm looking to purchase something.

Just an FYI, last year at the local show I got a 746pro that was DOA, called and emailed, met them before they went home, they exchanged no issue; were pleasant though hardly apologetic.  This year bought 756proII, AF cuts out..said, nothing we can do, call Icom...went round and round, Icom said nothign wrong...(even after their local repair center said it was faulty) 4 months later Icom says tell dealer to call sales and ask for new rig or money back, I called, they said call us back, I did.  They said well ship (again 4th ship and on my dime) to us if doesn't work will refund.  Yesterday I call, they say oh, well you want the good news or the bad...obviously I said both; "Well it did fail but they want to only replace it, no refund; but here's what we can do for you...we'll ship you a new MarkVfield or TS2000 that you asked about instead"  Oh so I paid over $2200 and you'l send me a $1499 or $1749 radio instead with no refund of the difference? "Yeah".  I'm really still in shock they even suggested that.  I declined and called Icom.  I can't say as I'm very impressed with either of them right now.  Sorry if I expect a radio to work and/or be repaired, to not be put out, paying for shipping all over, to be told it's ok when it's not, and to get little to no support from my dealer; who then wants to send me a $700 cheaper radio without a refund of the difference.  I'm out $2500 now for 4 months, and I've nothing except a "free ps-125" they want me to pay to ship them in order to get my refund which Icom finally authorized verbally to me last evening.  Today I get a fax, no call saying "Send back manual and pwersuppl"  I fax back saying, will be boxed, let me know when call tag issued.  The reply, unsigned "NO YOU Need to ship ALL to Me NO Call TAG From US".... Very nice eh?!
