Controlling a G1000DXA/G550 Rotor Combo
« on: October 13, 2005, 04:00:46 AM »

I am redoing my tower, and using a G1000DXA main mast rotor with a G550 Elevation rotor at the top to aim  a 22xb and 738XB Boomer from Cushcraft.  How do I interface these 2 rotors to my computer for aiming and tracking control.  All ideas and recommendations welcome.  We will use the NOVA software and our 970H......

I second the ERC-3D! I have the ERC-R for my G5500. Rene is great with support for his products.

I'm using a Fox Delta ST-2 interface. It's a clone of the "LVB" tracker that AMSAT sells. It's inexpensive, and works very well. Since it has separate connections for each rotor, I'm sure you could interface it with your gear.
