It would be very handy if the forums list also contained a field showing the date (and possibly time) of the latest post for any topic. That would provide a means to tell if it is likely than new posts have been added since the last time you checked it without having to manually keep track of the total number of posts.

I think that is a good idea.  I will add it to the
feature list.  I am not sure when I can get to or how
hard it will be to add but I will take a look.
