If you are drilling masonry, drill a small pilot hole inside to outside and then drill the larger hole from outside in. That way any chipping will be on the inside of the wall rather than the outside.

In lieu of an elbow, use an "LB" connection (available from an electrical supplier or many home stores). This is like an elbow with a removable cover. With the cover removed it is much easier to thread the cables around the 90 degree turn.

If you are only running one line thru your wall, Radio Shack used to make a need plastic tube that was the perfect diameter to fit Beldin 8214 type coax through. Once the hole was drilled, the tube could be inserted and marked, withdrawn and cut to the proper size.  It even came with plastice caps that were about a 1/2" larger diameter and cover the raw edges of your hole beautifully.  The finished pass-through really looked professionally done.

You may want to check with RS and see if they still make them.

I would add one more item, after you run all your cable through the pvc, i would add some steel wool to the inside of the pvc, this will put a stop to the mice or any other rodent from getting into your house, once they bite into the steel wool they stop cold and will not try that again.  it works great and it is cheap.
