Yes it has been a few years since I dabbled in the wonderful world of radio so please keep that in mind. I am just starting, from scratch, to throw together another station. Today I put up my dipole antenna for 2m and have already hit a snag. The swr is high and I can't get it down. It is on a boom which runs 90 degrees from the tower at about 20 feet. I would say it is in the vicinity of 15" from the tower. My thought for the high swr is that it must be too close to the tower. I hate to ask for help on such a simple thing but I haven't got any reference material left to jog my memory. Any ideas?
