What is the easiest, cheapest, way to add 100hz tone encode to an older multimode rig (Icom 260)? At what point in the circuit is the tone injected?

Communications Specialists has a nice tone encoder called the SS-64 for under $30.

for more details.
If I'm not mistaken, on most rigs you can parallel the Tone encoder with the microphone input.
