Does anyone know of a good DualBand HT that would make a good double as a scanner, especialy in the 470mhz range?

ADI-600  ADI
DJ-580  Alinco

I replaced the DJ-580 with the ADI-600.  My DJ-580 broke when fell off the roof of my car at 35mph.

Good choices, either one.

The ADI/Pryme AT-600HP 2m/70cm HT will do the job and more!  Check their website for demo specials.

Icom IC-W32A Dualbander Ham HT is a real nice choice for two way communications and for receiving from 108-999MHZ (Minus Cellular Bands)

I own an Icom IC-w32A and it recieves really nicely in the upper uhf bands.  Look to purchase one, they are selling for around $279 dollars.
