Kenwood g707a software
« on: March 16, 2001, 08:11:17 PM »

Hello All;
I have a Kenwood tm-g707a and have a question for anyone who has used the kenwood
software to program it. The file menu has no "import" function, and all files are saved as
a *.707 file, which seems to be some sort of space or tab delimited file. I have several files
that are text files which contain repeater lists for new england, 2 meter and 440. I would like
to import these as they are in ascending order and quite complete. Is there any way of
formatting a file under something like word or excel to have the kenwood software pick it
up for programming into my radio? Anyone create a template for importing/saving files for
this purpose? The radio is a delight to use, and I would like to take advantage of this
feature, but don't look forward to typing in 180 different channels....
Thank in advance for the help,
Eric.
