WinRadio Digital Suite

> I am having a problem trying to configure the WinRadio Digital Suite for Windows 2000. I know the problem relates to setting the volume controls in Windows, but the manual which comes with the radio is confusing and relates to earlier versions of Windows. I can clearly hear the signal in both ACARS and packet modes, but nothing is appearing on their respective screens. Any help would be much appreciated; the WinRadio web site doesn't offer a troubleshooting forum.

There's a fairly active Winradio group on
http://www.qth.net, and a much smaller one on
http://groups.yahoo.com.  You might find some more
specific answers there.

As to ACARS, I'm not sure how the Digital Suite
is set up, but unlike most digital modes, you *must*
have the squelch open at all times.  The reason is
that there is brief sync tone before each transmission-
if that tone isn't heard, the software won't sync
up.
