Develope your own FT920 control software
« on: November 13, 2002, 02:32:14 PM »

(I also posted this message under "Ask Elmer" section.)

I have came up with a cool idea to expand and experiment my software development skill.

My next project is to control my FT-920 via the web. I have developed a COM object (ActiveX DLL) that enables me to send data from the web to the serial port. However, I am having trouble to make my FT-920 to talk to the RS232 port.

I cannot go into too much details of my concepts now, but would like to hear from those of you who have attempted to interface your FT-920 with VB or VC++.

According to the system protocol from the FT-920 manual, the com port setting should be 4800bps,8,n,2. That's what I did but not working.

Please tell me your CAT experience.

Many thanks.
