Black Diamond, WA Museum Seeking QSL Cards
« on: April 27, 2010, 05:36:45 PM »

The Black Diamond, Washington Railroad museum is looking for QSL cards from the 1900's to 1950's.
Areas interested in are Black Diamond and the surrounding area.
I've checked the 4 callsigns listed and they are inactive/not on QRZ.
Any help for this lady appreciated, her email is below.

Below is the original email sent to me:

Thank you for visiting the Black Diamond Museum on Saturday, April 24th.  Your interest is appreciated.

Thank you also for letting me know of your vast experience as a Ham Operator, and your offer to help me acquire QSO cards.

I am interested in QSO cards originating in Black Diamond, WA and from neighboring cities for any year.  Also want QSO cards post marked from Black Diamond and neighboring cities, and any card addressed to or from Black Diamond and neighboring cities.  I am also interested in ready made cards of Black Diamond and neighboring cities that never were mailed, as I've seen some with no hand written information.  If by chance you know of a listing of historic information to Operators and their call numbers for the Black Diamond. WA and neighboring cities, please let me know where I could acquire a copy of the listing.

You may recall my mentioning the two Enumclaw cards that I have.  I'll list them, in hopes someone may be able to provide historical information.
#1.  K7PZQ - Louis Murkowski, Enumclaw, Wash., 1445 Kibler Ave. as printed in red on the front of the card.  On the reverse: Postmarked Enumclaw, WA, Sep 25, 1961 sent to W7HYJ (Doc), Dr. V. M. Nitzke, D.C., N.D., Enterprise, Oregon.

#2.  W7F0V - Allen Lynch, Op., Enumclaw, Washington, 1115 Lafromboise Street in black lettering on the front of the card.  On the reverse:  Postmarked Enumclaw, WA Mar 2, 1948, sent to W7AAH, Eddie Parcot, Box 142, Ellensburg, WA.

Thank you George for all your help on my behalf.

Sincerely,
JoAnne Matsumura
