Has anyone used the TK840(N)-1 (2 of them) as a remote repeater controller ? We're using a Vertex VXR-7000 repeater, and the controll would be about 5 miles away. Phone lines arent available at the repeater location.

I have the TK840s, 2 yagis for 440, and power supplies for each.

As a minimum, turning the repeater to "off" and then back to "on" to avoid "bad mouth" folks, and perhaps the capability of turning the sub-audible tone on and off for "net nites."

Any info will be appreciated...Thanks
