Does anyone know the approximate value of this balun,
and the year it was marketed?

It has been determined that this is a Barker & Williamson
balun, circa 1950. Value unknown, but open to suggestion.

Thanks..

Put a couple of UV lamps in the coils and hook up a HV power supply, and you have a nice bug zapper! :o
Or put it in a plexi box and wire up a zip cord and lamp socket for a table lamp! !)
Maybe you could use the coils for an antenna match box? Being air core coils, you won't saturate the core and burn it up...
As to value, what ever anyone would offer, and I would go $5 max at a swap n shop...

...and it appears to be a 4:1 jobbie wired exactly like a dual core Guanella balun.
