"The Boat Anchor Bash"
« on: February 07, 2011, 12:11:39 AM »

New ham fest event "The Boat Anchor Bash"
I came up with a new Idea "the boat anchor bash". If you have a old boat anchor you can't sell, and its covered with yellow stains, and missing knobs, or anything else, we could jut put everything in a pile and charg people to take a sludge hammer to it,just like the car bashes... Look how much Dayton could make of of that

Oh my gawd this just makes my skin crawl when I think of the bits and bobs smashed into uselesness.

The horror think of all the IF coils and chokes and variable caps etc.

If you got a piece of junk that you think is only worthy of a sledge hammer let me know I could use some parts  :D

Not to mention the fact that many old rigs have toxic substances in them that might get released under a hammer.

Remember those questions about barrilum oxide (sp?) on your exam??

And I always thought that a "sludge hammer" was for pounding mud.

Just be careful.  The boat anchor that you smash today, could be worth a small fortune in just 10 years!!
