Has anyone had any experience with the Ameritron QSK accessory?  Since it used PIN diodes, it should be fast and silent.  I would like to hear from someone who has used it before making my choice of amps.

73, and thanks.

Yep, I have (QSK-5).  Sorry about the delayed reply, I just noticed your question.

It works, never had any problems with it.  One small quirk, if you call it that: You can't use an "internal keyer" and the QSK-5 together.  You must use a keyer that actually plugs into the QSK-5, and then the QSK-5 is used to key the amplifier, key the exciter, and switch the RF in the correct sequence to prevent blowing up most of your station!

Yes, it is fast and silent ... BUT ... your first character closes the amp's T/R relay, which stays closed until you pause 3 seconds, at which time the relay opens. So you still have the "clunk" from the amp's relay. Watch that when evaluating which one to buy.
