I have a tinytrak4 that I am trying to use to control a self-contained solar powered fill digipeater (using TT4 as TNC, and ICOM 24at HT as transceiver into Comet GP-1 at 40ft). After doing some research and reading the manual, I have the following pertinent settings that I THOUGHT would make it digipeat:
MYCALL AC5ZU-1
PATH1 WIDE1-1
PATH2 WIDE2-1
PATH3
BTEXT =3459.30N/08953.79W#PHG2230/AC5ZU solar digi
BPERIOD 900
TXD 60
MTXD 10
PERSIST 65
SLOTTIME 15
QUIET 10
TRNKMODE 0
CDMODE TONES
CDLEVEL 14
ALIAS1 WIDE1-1
ALIAS2
ALIAS3
The problem is that I don't seem to be passing any packets like it should be in the digipeater role. I can monitor the serial output and see that it is receiving, but it is only transmitting when it receives a text string such as the following:
N1IEJ-14>SUPT5R,AC5ZU-1,WIDE1*,WIDE2-2:`uU)l!;u/]"4s}to Memphis TN=
As you can see, my SSID is in this string. When the tinytrak4 receives this string, it transmits (although I can't see what it's sending). But, even with my APRS equipped cars sitting in the driveway underneath the antenna, looking at the map on aprs.fi, it appears that my digi is not digipeating their (or anyone else's) aprs signals. Am I doing something wrong here?
ANY suggestions or corrections are apprecieated!
