2 Meter Repeater Duplexer Need Info
« on: June 19, 2012, 02:10:04 PM »

Hello I am looking at buying a new duplexer for my 2 meter repeater on the 145.150/144.550 pair. I am looking at two duplexers the Comprod Communications 66-13-76 at $2,119.95 and the Tele Wave TPRD1556 at $1,889.95. I was just wanting to know your experiences if you have used either of these certain duplexers. Did you like them and why or why not? Thanks for any info you all can give me. I have used some Tele Wave duplexers in the past but have never used a Comprod Communications duplexer. The cans on the Comprod are a little bigger and the specs are just a touch better. I will provide a link to both duplexers below.

I have used both. Both are good. Comprod is very proud of their products.
The two sets of comprods have only been in a year or two so hard to tell long term reliability, I have about 8 sets of those telewave units in for about 12 years with zero problems. I also have about 14 sets of sinclair Res-locks in for nearly 20 years with minimal problems. All of them have zero desense and to be honest if I had to tell the difference by testing I dont think I could.

If your interested in a very lightly used set of telewave cans let me know, I have a couple sets that were only installed for testing purposes and never seen a mtn top.
Take care.
