 TOYOTA Camry 2012 IC-7000 or FT-857d
I just bought me a new ride a Toyota 2012 Camry. What radio should I or would be good for that car A IC-7000 or a FT-857d?? or dose it matter?

I have the IC7000. It's a decent radio. Can't speak for the 857D as I do not own one but I have several Yaesu VHF/UHF radios and they have a nice readable display and are ergonomic, with easy access to common functions (this is something that is critical in a mobile environment).

The 7000 does tend to run a bit hot which may be a problem if you live in a hot area. Other than that it has IF-DSP and all the bells and whistles you could want.

I have an FT-857 and a TS-480HX but have not tried an IC-7000. I got the TS-480HX for the 200 watt output and the simple front panel. It is a joy to use and I highly recommend it.

How about what are the features you like about either of the radio?
The car is not going to use the Radio. You are the one who will be using the radio.
My preferences, or John, Harry or even Tom's preferences doesn't necessarily will agree with yours.
Choose a radio upon it's merits that suit you, then figure out how to mount it inside the vehicle.
Sorry, I'm not being unkind. Just Factual.
