A little late for a prediction, but...
There are 3 things you can typically count on for Field Day:
1. Heat! and lots of it!
2. Thunderstorms. Yeah, they kind of go with the heat...
3. At least one good 6 meter opening :-)
This year in southern IN, EM78, we had all three. Saturday heated up fast with loads of humidity to boot. Then, the storms started rolling through the area. Luckily, we stayed dry as the storms all skirted our hill top and gave us a little relief from the heat.
6 meters was all quiet on Saturday. Worked a few locals but no openings. Sunday morning was a different story:-) The band slowly opened up into south Florida and within a couple of hours had built into an opening that covered from FL to NM. Fun stuff.
Ended up with around 100 in the log. I think it could have been a lot higher, but I believe a lot of stations gave up on 6 after Saturday.
