The Prison under the Cathedral on the air
In 1992, machinery employed in conservation work, fell through the surface of a well known Cork Cathedral, what they uncovered was an opening into the underground cells of an old Prison which had been sealed for almost 100 years.
This February the 8th North Cork Radio Group (
www.ei1nc.com) will Kick off the new years activity with "Cobh Cathedral Bells, Crypt, Bridewell Prison and Lusitania Tour". Join us on air and learn about the fascinating history of St Colemans Cathedral in Cobh, the Bells and Crypt.
