Workman uvs300 vertical.

Comments appreciated on the uvs300 workman vertical antenna.   I bought one back in March, and so far it's working good.
Does it compare to the diamond of the same style and or the TRAM model?

Pretty much the same antenna as the tram. Not quite as good of quality as the Comet or Diamond, but they work great. Do tape the joints well, they will leak a little water sometimes.
If you do that, the antenna will last a long time. There really is not a lot of difference on the inside, they all pretty much work the same, so as long as it's getting the job done, smile, you saved $120.00.

Ditto the above.
It's the same type/style antenna as several others make and should be comparable.  Probably the biggest difference is mechanical, not electrical.  How well it will work depends on how well you put the thing together and how it's adjusted/tuned.  No 'secret' ideas for you there, I've never played with one.
Have fun.
