10-12m prop alerts
« on: May 31, 2014, 07:44:39 AM »

Is there any way to subscribe to email or SMS alerts for good propagation between EU and NA on 10 and 12 meters?

Are you seeking a general alert whenever there is propagation between "anywhere in EU" and "anywhere in NA" on those bands, or specific alerts when European stations you "need" on those bands have been spotted from near your QTH?

I check out reversebeacon.net. e.g. Make a custom filter, "DX = Continent:Europe", "DE = Continent:North America", and check the 10M and 12M boxes.

e.g. http://www.reversebeacon.net/dxsd1/dxsd1.php?f=25548

Pickings will be pretty sparse this summer. SFI is plummeting and getting to EU will be hard. Southern hemisphere routes, like to South America or to VK/ZL, will be more likely (if you need those), and I was working VK's and ZL's just a few weekends ago (Admittedly SFI was a bit higher then.)
