Soundmodem on raspberry PI
« on: August 22, 2014, 12:06:11 PM »

I got it working but I having difficulty finding finding how to use soundmodem  as a remote networking  TNC.
For example I run

Windows 8.1 (APRIS32) -(ethernet to router )-> Raspberry PI  (direwolf) -> Wouxun radio.

Instead I want to run
Windows 8.1 (APRIS32) -(ethernet to router )-> Raspberry PI  (soundmodem) -> Wouxun radio.

So far I only can find soundmodem  directly configured  for Xastir  or Ax.25 for BBS using the PI as server or client.

Yes I know  I have solved the problem by not using Soundmodem..
Frankly soumodem is  an obsolete legacy application and packet mode.

I think we can lock this thread.

It's not really obsolete, just well written and doesn't need much improvement for what it does.  It's helpful, however, to build from the latest sources instead of using the binaries provided by the various distros (Which tend towards older versions, with bugs that have since been fixed).
