It looks like Army MARS is leading the pack on this.  I hardly ever hear anything about Air Force or Navy MARS activities. I guess my clearance is not high enough.

To learn more about Air Force MARS today, please follow this link:
http://www.afmars.org/USAF_MARS_Today.shtml
It presents most but not all aspects of AFMARS, I guess the author wanted to give a brief overview as not to tie up the reader for too long.

I will post about my experience with AFMARS in separate thread.

Nah.  Army MARS has a budget for a PIO.  AF and NMC MARS are just thriftier.

Army MARS' PIO is an unpaid volunteer, Bill Sexton.

I stand corrected.

In all seriousness, this would serve as an example of how having a savvy media specialist can influence others' opinions of an organization.  However, that overlap in the venn diagram of "savvy media specialists" and "MARS members" is very, very small.

I don't know much about what AFMARS is doing (I've never been a member), but Navy/Marine Corps MARS has an excellent website, navymars.org. All of their MARS chief's broadcasts to the membership are on the site and open to all.  I'm not a MARS member any longer (was Army MARS for quite a while), but I have spoken to the Navy MARS Chief (Bo Lindfors) on several occasions and found him to be very sharp.

Not only will there be a new training approach, content is also expanding as I write these lines. Especially those who enjoy digital comms will have a whale of a time in MARS, but also those enjoying voice comms will learn new things. Sorry, but I can't be any more specific on this public forum.
Before I forget, the different services now also train together and participate in same exercises, just in case you wondered.
